Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd announced that it will be supplying 10 units of Dongfeng Kinland 340 6×4 prime movers to Perak-based cement transporter Chip Seng Heng Enterprise Sdn Bhd.
Chip Seng Heng is a contract transporter to Lafarge Malaysia Berhad, whose core business is to manufacture cement, pre-mixed concrete and other building materials.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by Dongfeng and Chip Seng Heng at Lafarge Malaysia’s annual Driver Safety Day at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, MAEPS, in Serdang, Selangor last month.
The Lafarge Driver Safety Day was part of the company’s global health and safety initiative to sustain and reward the culture of safety amongst its family of contract transporters.
During the event, Dongfeng displayed the Kinland 340 6×4 prime mover, the T-lift 375.CM cement mixer and the Kinland 375 6×2 prime mover with hydraulic lift axle.
Powered by a 340hp Cummins Euro 2 engine paired with a Shanxi 12-speed transmission, the Dongfeng Kinland 340 produces 1,350Nm of maximum torque and comes with a gross combination weight of 55,000kg.
Chip Seng Heng currently operates the Dongfeng Kinland 340 as well as the Kinland 420 6×4 prime mover in its fleet.
