Hino Motors, Ltd.  has entered an Authorized Distributorship Agreement with Summit SPA Motors, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SSM”), an automotive related company in Myanmar.

To date Hino has been providing after sale services through SSM and by positioning the company as its authorized distributor on April 1st, 2017 through this agreement Hino aims to establish an organizational setup that is vertically integrated from sales to after sale services and make a full-fledged reentry into the Myanmar market.

For about three decades since the 1950s, Hino has exported a total of approximately 20,000 vehicles to Myanmar, and has set its roots in the country as a familiar brand and a mainstay in the day-to-day lives of the people of the country. Myanmar has been enjoying a high level of economic growth in recent years, and this has led to a growth in the trucks market. In 2014, Hino opened Authorized Service Stations through SSM to respond to the great demand for after sale services that was being bolstered by robust economic activity.

As an awareness of the Hino brand continues , Hino sees Myanmar as a key market with great potential for growth. With this, we have entered an Authorized Distributor Agreement with SSM to meet our customers’ needs through an organizational setup that is vertically integrated from sales to after sale services. We are committed to further enhancing our Total Support operations to address increasingly diverse needs and contribute to our customers’ businesses in Myanmar.

We plan to gradually increase the number of sales and service locations to strengthen our Total Support operations and by working closely together as a coherent Team Hino we aim to grow with our customers, who we see as our partners.

Hino is committed to contribute to the development of Myanmar’s communities by providing trucks and buses that support the day-to-day lives of the people of Myanmar.
