Honda Delivers 16 Civics to KPDNHEP

Following the Royal Malaysian Police and the Malaysian Army, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) has also selected the Honda Civic to be used as a fleet vehicle.

A total of 16 units of Honda Civic 1.8 S were delivered by Honda Malaysia to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) on the 24th of December 2020. According to Honda Malaysia, this is the first time a Honda model is going to be used by KPDNHEP.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia, Mr. Toichi Ishiyama commented, “On behalf of Honda Malaysia, we are honored that the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs has chosen Civic as their preferred car in accomplishing their tasks and duties.”

“We are also appreciative of the Ministry’s crucial role in promoting and sustaining domestic trade in Malaysia, which is important as we are still facing challenges to boost the Malaysian economy which was greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is encouraging to observe that all Malaysians are working together to overcome the setbacks and we sincerely hope that Malaysia will be on the road towards economic recovery soon.”

Since its launch, the Civic has sold more than 10,400 units, capturing 81% market share and leading the C-segment as of October 2020. The Civic is also currently the 2nd best-selling Honda model in Malaysia.

The 1.8L i-VTEC engine offers a maximum power output of 141PS and maximum torque of 174Nm. Additionally, the Civic also comes in a 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged variant which is equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of safety features. The Civic is also certified as Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV).

The Civic is also equipped with features such as Electric Parking Brake (EPB), Walk Away Auto Lock, Remote Engine Start and 7” Advanced Display Audio.

Where safety is concerned, the Civic has been awarded with five-star safety rating by ASEAN NCAP and is equipped with top class safety features such as Six Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Agile Handle Assist (AHA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA) and Auto Brake Hold (ABH).
