Honda Malaysia today launched the Honda CR-V Black Edition, which will be available exclusively in 1.5L TC-P 2WD with Crystal Black Pearl colour.
Priced at RM161,913.99, the CR-V Black Edition, which was launched in Thailand a few months ago, joins the existing three variants of the CR-V – the CR-V 2.0L 2WD, CR-V 1.5L TC-P 2WD, and CR-V 1.5L TC-P 4WD.
The CR-V Black Edition features a Black Front Grille with Honda Signature LED Headlights, a black front bumper garnish, black rear bumper garnish, as well as 18-inch alloy wheels finished in high-quality piano black.
The blacked out theme is extended into the interior as well, where the steering wheel, 7-inch Interactive Thin Film Transistor (TFT) meter, and the air conditioning garnish are also finished in piano black.
While the headlining is also black, the centre console, the dashboard, and the door trim of the CR-V Black Edition sport a black wood garnish. Last but not least, the seats are also black, and the front seats feature the “Black Edition” embroidery.
There are no mechanical enhancements of any sorts, which means that the CR-V Black Edition is powered by the same powertrain package as a regular CR-V 1.5 TC-P 2WD, comprising a 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine producing 193PS and maximum torque of 243Nm.
The list of standard equipment is also identical to the CR-V 1.5 TC-P, which includes features like Remote Engine Start that allows the owner to start the engine with the press of a button on the smart key and turn on the air conditioning before entering the car.
As an SUV that is known for its large cargo space, the CR-V makes transporting goods of various sizes hassle-free and allows the customers to enjoy added convenience when loading cargo with Hands-Free Power Tailgate.
This feature can be activated with a foot motion towards the hands-free access sensor under the rear bumper. To top it off, the CR-V is equipped with a host of safety features, including the full suite of Honda Sensing with eight safety features in addition to other standard and unique safety functions.
