Sime Darby Auto Performance, the authorised distributor of Porsche vehicles in Malaysia, has introduced the new Porsche Taycan GTS.
Priced from RM708,000 with Premium Package as standard, the Taycan GTS which will be available from Q2 2022, is positioned above the Taycan 4S and below the Taycan Turbo variants as the sporty all-rounder of the model range.
With a range of up to 504 km, the new Porsche Taycan GTS is also the first Taycan variant to break the 500-km mark.
Producing a maximum output of 598 PS, the Porsche Taycan GTS is capable of sprinting from zero to 100 km/h within 3.7 seconds, and achieving a top speed of 250 km/h.
Adaptive air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), is specifically adapted to the Taycan GTS to elevate lateral dynamics.
The set-up of the optional rear-axle steering is also even sportier. The richer sound pattern of the modified Porsche Electric Sport Sound underscores the character of the new GTS model.
On the exterior, there are numerous Black or dark details such as the front apron, the bases of the exterior mirrors, and the side window trims – as is traditional on a GTS.
Meanwhile, numerous Black Race-Tex features in the interior underscore the elegant, dynamic ambience, as does the standard brushed aluminium interior package with Black anodised finish.
A panoramic roof with Sunshine Control is available as a new optional extra for the Taycan GTS, where an electrically switchable liquid crystal film can change the roof from clear to matte at the touch of a button, protecting occupants from glare, without detracting the bright ambience of the interior.
The roof is divided into nine segments that can be switched individually – a world first in the automotive sector. In addition to the Clear and Matte settings, Semi and Bold can also be selected. These are predefined patterns with narrow or wide segments.
Alongside the launch of the new Taycan GTS, Porsche Malaysia also announced a raft of updates for the Taycan models.
The Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo models now come with a Premium Package available as standard, offering enhanced specifications such as an on-board AC-charger with 22 kW, Mobile Charger Connect, Charging cable (mode 3), Home Energy Manager, Advanced Climate Control (4-Zone), electrically-folding exterior mirrors, passenger display and ParkAssist with surround view for enhanced overall driving comfort and pleasure.
