Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas) recently introduced the updated 2022 version of its entry-level scooter, the Modenas Karisma 125S.
First launched in August 2003, the Karisma 125 has become one of the go-to scooter models in the market, known for its value-for-money. The Company then introduced the facelift model of Karisma 125 in 2016, followed by the all new and improved 2022 Modeas Karisma 125S we’re looking at here.
Powering the latest Modenas Karisma 125S is a 124.8cc, fuel-injection, 4 stroke single-cylinder engine that meets the latest Euro 4 and Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV) standards. The scooter can produce a maximum power of 7.0 kW at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10 Nm at 6000 rpm.
Together with its 5.1-litre fuel tank, this scooter promises to provide the owners with longer fuel-efficient rides.
For 2022, Modenas is offering the Karisma 125S in three colour schemes – Aqua Blue, Duchess Gold and Mystic Red, complemented by new and graphic designs and additional features.
Speaking of features, the front portion of the Karisma 125S gets a stylish pair of full LED headlights that comes together with daytime running lights (DRL).
Plus, both front and rear signal of the scooter also receive an upgrade to a full LED type. Other technology upgrades on the Karisma 125S include a modern meter gauge with digital fuel level and a brand-new key system that comes with a seat opener button.
Designed for comfort and practicality, underneath its ergonomically designed seats, the Modenas Karisma 125S offers a sizable 14-litre under-seat compartment with an additional front twin pockets which will allow you to carry just about anything.
The scooter also comes with a USB charging socket that is strategically mounted on the dashboard, allowing its rider to charge their smartphones while on-the-go. Moreover, the Karisma 125S comes equipped with stylish emergency hazard lights, that will definitely come in handy during emergency.
That said, the recommended selling price for the 2022 Modenas Karisma 125S is RM5,397 (insurance and road tax cost excluded) and will be made available at all authorised Modenas dealership from 24th February 2022 onwards.
