GWM showcased the GWM Cannon pickup truck, Ora Good Cat, Haval Jolion SUV, and the Haval H6 Hybrid at the event last week
Great Wall Motor (GWM) recently showcased new sides of its the Ora Good Cat EV at the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2023, held at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang.
Parked in a camping setup, the Coral Blue ORA GOOD CAT sported a dynamic body kit and a rooftop cargo box, indicative of the fully-electric vehicle’s versatility for both city driving and outdoor adventures.
At the booth, the white Ora Good Cat showcased a never-seen-before sporty look while dressed in a unique performance kit, capturing the attention and camera snaps of visitors.
To further excite fans and potential owners of electric cars, GWM Malaysia prepared a surprise package that’s only available during the 4-day event, whereby customers who purchased an Ora Good Cat before 7th May 2023 enjoyed a free installation of an electric power tailgate worth up to RM2,000, and charging credits worth RM1,000 (appointed Charge Point Operators only).

At the auto show, GWM also revealed its three highly anticipated car models – GWM Cannon, GWM Haval H6, and GWM Haval Jolion. These models are part of
GWM’s Intelligent NEV (New Energy Vehicle) lineup, which features advanced technologies and cutting-edge designs.
And then, we had the GWM Cannon pick-up truck on display, flaunting its stylish design, rugged exterior with a refined interior. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbo engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Cannon is actually equipped with a Level 2 autonomous driving system.
While the GWM Cannon has been the sales champion for 25 consecutive years and accounts for 70% of the total export volume in China, there has not been any price indication on the Cannon yet, but it is safe to say that it is highly likely to launch it here to compete with models like the Peugeot Landtrek, and the JMC Vigus Pro.
Slated to make its Malaysian debut later this year, the third-generation Haval H6 Hybrid model, GWM Haval H6 is the most popular SUV in China – the number one car sold for 100 accumulated months – with 4 million units sold worldwide.
Equipped with LEMON, GWM’s highly intelligent modular technology platform, this car comes with a 1.5 Turbo Hybrid engine that produces 530 newton-metres of torque and a total system output of 243 PS. The front grill, centre brake lights, and sleek body styling give this vehicle a striking and elegant look.
Last but not least, we have the GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid, which was one of the most eye-catching models on display at the Malaysia Autoshow. With a turbocharged 1.5-litre hybrid engine and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system, this vehicle prouduces 139kW and 375Nm of torque.
Inside the cabin, you will find a 12.3-inch Smart Touch Screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch virtual instrument that provides precise and clear driving information.
Following the implementation of GWM’s new ASEAN strategy and a goal to launch a total of 9 models over the next 3 years, GWM Malaysia is focused on providing innovative products and services that cater to the needs of local consumers. Customers can expect some GWM models to hit the local market later this year.
