The first owner of the Honda WR-V received some goodies from Honda Malaysia as well
Honda Malaysia today announced the successful delivery of 2,200 units of the Honda WR-V within one month of its official launch in July 2023.
At the same time, the company also celebrated the first customer to register the booking made for Honda’s Small SUV in Malaysia, Ms. Nurain Binti Mohamad, at an official handover ceremony in early August at Accord Auto Sdn. Bhd.
As a gesture of appreciation to commemorate this momentous occasion, Ms. Nurain was presented with Honda Accessories, Ultra Glass Body Coating and Official Merchandise, collectively worth RM5,000.
Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said, “Since its launch, the WR-V has been well accepted in the market and achieved remarkable sales performance. The RS variant is the largest contributor, accounting for 60% of the total sales to-date. We are also delighted to share that the All-New WR-V is the second best-selling model in our Honda line-up for the month of July 2023.”
To recap, the WR-V is fitted with a multitude of advanced safety features. Among them are Honda LaneWatch, which is a standard feature for all variants and Honda SENSING that has eight advanced safety functions. Additionally, the RS variant is equipped with Honda CONNECT, which allows customers to connect to their cars from anywhere at any time via their smartphones.
In addition, customers can remotely start the car engine, lock and unlock its doors as well as adjust the air conditioning all from the smartphone application.
The RS front design also features Auto LED Headlights and Front LED Sequential Turn Signals that add a modern touch to the aesthetic of the Small SUV. The All-New WR-V stands out even more on the road with its high ground clearance of 207mm, which allows the car to handle various road conditions with ease.
There is also a 380-litre capacity trunk that offers a hassle-free experience for customers as they go about their day-to-day errands and the 60:40 Split Rear Seat configuration that allows flexibility for bulkier items. Last but not least, the All-New WR-V is powered by a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine which generates a maximum power output of 121PS and 145Nm of torque.
