After much anticipation, Proton has finally launched the S70 sedan which is available in four variants with prices as mentioned below (on the road without insurance):
- Proton S70 1.5T Executive – RM73,800
- Proton S70 1.5T Premium – RM79,800
- Proton S70 1.5T Flagship – RM89,800
- Proton S70 1.5T Flagship X – RM94,800
As the name suggests, all variants will share the same powertrain package comprising a three-cylinder 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with Manual Mode which collectively produce 150 PS at 5,500 rpm and 226 Nm from 1,750rpm to 4,000rpm.
Measuring 4,602mm in length, 1,809mm in width, and 1,466mm in height, the Proton S70 which comes with a wheelbase length of 2,627mm is actually in the same segment as the Civic and the Corolla Altis, but with the pricing of a B-segment sedan like the Vios and the City.

During the launch, Proton also announced a ‘standard package’ for the S70 which includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, a five-year data package (1GB per month, six times free labour service and financing rates from 2.34%.
In addition to the above, the first 3,000 bookings will also get free bodykit you see here which is worth RM3,130 (Flagship X only). Last but not least, those who book the S70 before March 2024 will get a RM500 service vouchers and upgraded Proton Insurance Programme.
