Ducati Malaysia recently introduced the highly anticipated Panigale V4, the latest evolution in Ducati’s legendary superbike lineage.
The new Panigale V4 is powered by the renowned 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, a 90-degree V4 derived directly from MotoGP technology. In its current latest-generation state, it produces an astounding 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and 120.9 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm, ensuring a new generation of blistering acceleration and exhilarating top-end performance.
This latest generation of the Desmosedici Stradale engine now conforms with the strict Euro 5+ standard, recording a maximum power increase equating to 0.5 hp, thanks to the use of lighter components that also reduce engine weight by 1 kg.
Ducati has also introduced the all-new Ducati Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm, reducing lateral stiffness by 37%, giving better mechanical grip, greater stability in cornering and acceleration.
An all-new “Front Frame” developed as a result of Ducati Corse experience in MotoGP. Lateral stiffness is reduced by 40%, while longitudinal stiffness remains unchanged. The rider now can turn the bike into the corners more easily, naturally holding the line and cornering faster.
A redesigned rear shock inspired by the Desmosedici GP bike, sheds 600g of weight. Mounted on bearings rather than plain bushings, it reduces friction and maximises mechanical grip.
The Panigale V4 range mounts brand-new Brembo Hypure™ monobloc calipers, an evolution of the already high-performance Stylema™. 60g lighter than the previous Stylema™ while giving better braking feel and heat dissipation, the brand-new Brembo Hypure™ monobloc calipers gives riders more confidence on the racetrack, lap after lap.
The Panigale V4 S is equipped with the Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0 system, based on the Öhlins NPX-30 pressurised fork, Öhlins TTX36 rear shock and Öhlins steering damper.
This translates into greater comfort when riding on the road as well as better support when riding on track, reducing the compromises in defining setup for different usages. Meanwhile the Panigale V4 is fitted with an updated Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) with 5mm longer wheel travel as well as a Sachs steering damper and shock absorber.
The Panigale V4 also debuts a brand-new dashboard. Boasting a 6.9” colour screen and 1280 x 480-pixel resolution, it sets new standards in terms of its readability, ease of use and the amount of information it provides.
Improved throttle control taken from the Panigale V4 R, for minimal axial and radial play with almost no initial idle stroke.
The new Panigale V4 is the first sports bike to have its braking system managed by the Race e-CBS system. This combined braking system with Cornering functionality can autonomously apply braking pressure to the rear, according to predefined strategies, when the rider activates the front control.
Replicating what professionals do to tighten corner trajectories and stabilise the bike. Heighten safety and stability for both on and off the track usage.
The new fairings on the other hand, reduce aerodynamic resistance without sacrificing aerodynamic load and increase airflow to the radiators. This also better protects the rider, reducing physical effort during straights.
That being said, the all-new Ducati Panigale V4 is available for bookings at Ducati Malaysia showrooms nationwide and is priced for ownership starting from RM182,900.
