Honda Malaysia is aiming for an ambitious sales target of 83,000 units in 2025, with a market share goal of 10.6%. This goal is part of the company’s broader strategy to solidify its position in the competitive automotive market.

Central to this vision is the launch of three new models, including the new Civic, which made its debut in January, alongside a series of brand activities aimed at boosting market engagement. The sustained demand for Honda’s current lineup further strengthens the company’s confidence in maintaining its leadership in the Malaysian automotive sector.

Looking to the future, Honda Malaysia remains committed to customer satisfaction and agile market adaptation. The company believes that internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, as well as e:HEV (electrified hybrid) models, will continue to thrive.

This is attributed to the growing infrastructure readiness, consumer preferences, and technological advancements in the automotive industry. Honda’s expertise in hybrid technology has earned global recognition, with its e:HEV models representing nearly 30% of the total hybrid car sales in Malaysia in 2024.

Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, Managing Director and CEO of Honda Malaysia, shared, “Aligned with our 2025 business direction, we are excited to introduce our first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e:N1. This new model demonstrates Honda’s advanced BEV capabilities and marks the brand’s initial venture into the electric vehicle market in Malaysia. The e:N1 is expected to attract customers with its unique features and will be supported by Honda’s extensive after-sales network.”

The introduction of the e:N1 BEV is an integral part of Honda Malaysia’s business strategy. It supports the company’s global electrification vision and lays the foundation for the launch of three additional BEV models by 2027. This initiative will not only expand Honda’s product range but also solidify its position as a leader in the evolving automotive landscape.
