MODENAS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, has officially launched the refreshed Modenas Elegan EX, showcasing a host of enhancements that elevate both form and function. This updated version is now available at all authorised MODENAS dealerships nationwide, with a recommended retail price of RM17,780.
In line with its refreshed look, the new Elegan EX is offered in two sophisticated colour choices:
- Deep Blue
- Plain Grey

These new premium shades further enhance the scooter’s road presence, exuding a refined and modern aesthetic.
The facelifted Elegan EX introduces several upgrades aimed at improving the rider’s overall experience:
- Redesigned Sporty Windscreen – Contributes to better aerodynamics while adding a sleek, dynamic visual profile.
- LED Front Indicators – Provide improved visibility and energy efficiency, especially during night rides or poor weather conditions.
- New Colour Scheme – Elevates the visual appeal, giving the scooter a fresh and contemporary identity.
- Revamped MODENAS Branding – The updated logo is now prominently displayed across several components including the windscreen, handle cover, rear fender, speedometer, and ignition key, reflecting the company’s evolving design language.

At the heart of the Elegan EX is a 249cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine, engineered to deliver a balanced mix of power and efficiency. It produces 22.4 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 22.4 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm—ensuring smooth throttle response and ample power for a range of riding conditions.

Mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the scooter offers seamless acceleration and optimal performance whether navigating city streets or cruising on the highway. With a 14-litre fuel tank, the Elegan EX is well-suited for long-distance travel, reducing the frequency of fuel stops.

Rider safety and comfort remain key priorities. The scooter is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, integrated with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for improved control and stability under braking. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a stable and comfortable ride even on uneven road surfaces.
