Iveco has signed an agreement to supply 10 New Stralis Natural Power (NP) vehicles running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) to i-FAST Automotive Logistics in Europe, which boasts a wealth of experience in car transportation.
This order will mark the first European delivery of vehicles for LNG-powered car transport, further confirming Iveco’s commitment to sustainability. This supply is testament to the extreme versatility of the New Stralis NP (AS440S40T/P) and is the result of the strong relationship that has developed between the two companies that share a common goal – to improve sustainability in road transport.
The New Stralis NP is the first natural gas vehicle designed for long-haul missions. It features the spacious Hi-Way cab, the 400 hp Iveco Cursor 9 engine, a EuroTronic gearbox and dual LNG tanks, each with a 540 litre capacity, for a range of up to 1,500 km. The clean fuel used to power these vehicles will mean that they can freely access urban areas where increasingly stringent noise and pollution restrictions are being introduced.
