Honda Malaysia announced that the all-new Accord is now open for booking at all 100 Honda dealerships nationwide, with the launch set to take place sometime within the next two months.
There has not been any indication on the pricing yet, but the big news is that it will be powered by an enhanced 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine which is a first for the flagship model.
Honda Malaysia says that the engine produces 201PS and maximum torque of 260Nm, which is more powerful than the current 2.4L engine’s performance.
Featuring a more fastback-like design, the all-new Accord will come with full LED headlights and taillights, chrome tailpipes, as well as 18-inch wheels.
There will also be the full suite of Honda Sensing safety and driver assistance features, which includes:
1. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
2. Low Speed Follow (LSF)
3. Auto High-Beam (AHB)
4. Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
5. Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
6. Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
7. Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
8. Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
In addition to the full Honda Sensing suite, the 10th Generation Accord is also equipped with Smart Parking Assist System with Brake Assist (Rear), Multi View Camera System (360-degree camera) and Honda LaneWatch for drivers convenience and safety.
All variants of the All-New Accord will come with standard safety features such as Six Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), front and rear parking sensors together with Multi-angle Rear view Camera.
