ABPBH 2020 Champion Wins a New Nissan LEAF

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the official vehicle sponsor for Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2020 (ABPBH), presented a new Nissan LEAF to the grand prize winner, Haqiem Rusli.

The 23-year old singer, composer and actor from Selangor was announced the winner of Bintang Paling Popular on 13 November 2020 where he garnered 22,332,676 votes.

He also won ‘Penyanyi Bintang Popular’ and the ‘Lagu Paling Boom Popular’ awards with his song titled ‘Lembah Kesepian’.

Established in 1987, ABPBH is an annual event organized by Berita Harian to bestow awards to the most popular Malaysian artistes in the Malaysian entertainment industry based on popular votes by readers of Berita Harian and Berita Minggu. It is one of the most prestigious people’s choice awards in Malaysia entertainment industry.

ABPBH Nissan LEAF

The young and talented Haqiem Rusli drove home the 100% Electric Vehicle (EV) Nissan LEAF worth RM 181,263.00, which generates an estimated 311km range on a full charge of 40kWh battery (based on New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) test mode) and a maximum torque of 320Nm (0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds).

The EV also comes complete with Nissan Intelligent Mobility advanced safety technologies such as e-Pedal, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking, and Intelligent Around View Monitor (360° camera), plus an array of luxurious interior.

During the presentation ceremony, ETCM’s Sales and Marketing Director, Mr Christopher Tan said, “It was our pleasure to collaborate with Anugerah Bintang Popular 2020 Berita Harian as this contest recognizes Malaysian artistes’ hardwork and dedication in growing the local entertainment industry.”
