Honda Malaysia today officially launched the 11th Generation All-New Honda Civic to Malaysians.
Aiming to maintain its no. 1 position in the C-segment, the all-new Honda Civic will be available in three variants with price as mentioned below:
- Honda Civic 1.5L E – RM125,634
- Honda Civic 1.5L V – RM138,043
- Honda Civic 1.5L RS – RM144,350
As the names suggest, all three variants are powered by the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder, 16-valve DOHC VTEC Turbo engine producing 182 PS and 240 Nm of torque. Paired with the engine is a CVT transmission which sends power to the front wheels.
In case you’re wondering, the engine is a tweaked and more powerful version of the same 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine that was powering the outgoing 10th gen Civic, which now makes 8 PS and 20 Nm more than before.
Capable of clocking a top speed of 200 km/h, the Civic E, V, and RS are capable of accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, 8.4 seconds, and 8.5 seconds respectively. Fuel consumption ratings stand at 6.0 litres per 100 km for the Civic E and V, while the Civic RS consumes 6.3 litres per 100 km.
The All-New Civic is also offered with a new drive mode option; Econ, Normal, and Sport Mode which can be switched easily with Drive Mode Switch.
Built on an improved platform that is more rigid than before, the Honda Civic FE measures 4,678 mm in length, 1,802 mm in width, and 1,415 mm in height, which makes it 30 mm longer, 3 mm wider, and 1 mm lower than before. The wheelbase is also longer by 33 mm than before, standing at 2,733 mm long.
The 497-litre boot however, is smaller than the outgoing 10th gen Civic’s boot which offered 519 litres of luggage space.
The company is also introducing the sporty RS variant into the Civic line-up for the first time, featuring sporty and bold looks with RS exclusive exterior features such as Blacked out side mirrors, shark fin antenna, door handles, and trunk spoiler.
Meanwhile, the chromed twin tailpipe and 18-inch Matte Black Alloy Wheels furnished gives a sporty appearance for the car.
The All-New Civic also features newly designed LED Headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) while the New Rear LED Combi Lights clearly reflects Civic’s DNA and emphasizes the identity of Honda.
The All-New Civic receives a Laser Brazing technology for the first time, giving it a smooth and clean roofline which makes the car look sleeker.
Honda has also redesigned the interior of the Civic completely, promising to offer good visibility with an open feeling of spaciousness, achieved through an expanded glass area.
A key highlight of its sophisticated interior space is the Honeycomb Mesh Panel that exudes a premium feel and touch to the overall dashboard layout. The All-New Civic features a new and improved seat design as well.
The RS variant comes with a Combi Leather Seats with Red Stitching in addition to Red Stitching Leather Steering Wheel, Black Headlining, Sport Pedal and Foot Lamp.
The RS and V variants are also equipped with 9-inch Advanced Display Audio with Apple CarPlay and Android AutoConnectivity and 2 Front USB ports.
Meanwhile, the 7-inch Interactive Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Meter, 2 Rear USB ports and Smart Clear Wiper are some standard features in the All-New Civic. The Smart Clear Wiper is a unique feature that is being introduced in a Honda Malaysia’s model line-up for the first time.
Besides that, to enhance quietness and ride comfort, Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) has been improved vastly with the application of insulators, floor undercover, and spray foam application in the chassis areas.
Also offered as standard is the enhanced Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance features which includes the Lead Car Departure Notification System which is available for the first time in a Honda in Malaysia.

The Honda SENSING feature in the All-New Civic has been enhanced with improved functionality to offer a more natural system intervention.
The All-New Civic also receives improved function of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow (LSF), and Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) which enables a natural and smooth steering operation during turn-in and out.
Other safety features included in the All-New Civic are Honda LaneWatch, Six Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Auto Brake Hold (ABH).
Two new safety features for the All-New Civic are the Rear Seat Belt Reminder and Driver Attention Monitor. Meanwhile other advanced features are Walk Away Auto Lock and Remote Engine Start comes standard across all variants.
The All-New Civic is the third Honda Malaysia model to feature Honda’s latest innovative and advanced Honda Connect technology.
Key functions of the Telematics technology in Honda Connect include Vehicle Diagnostics, Remote Applications, Security Applications, Vehicle Tracking and Support Services, which are all targeted to provide peace of mind and ease accessibility to the vehicle’s information. Honda Malaysia targets to sell 900 units per month. Ignite Red Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic are the two new vibrant colours offered in the All-New Civic. Other colour options are Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
