BMW Malaysia today announced the arrival of the first-ever BMW iX3, which is now available for pre-booking at selected authorised BMW dealerships nationwide.
Offered in two variants, the price of the BMW iX3 in Peninsular Malaysia is as mentioned below:
- BMW iX3 Inspiring – RM335,800
- BMW iX3 Impressive – RM 354,800
Firstly, the “Inspiring” variant includes metallic paintwork, adaptive suspension, automatic tailgate operation, a panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable seats, a sport leather steering wheel, a storage package and a three-zone automatic climate control system with pre-heating and pre-conditioning function.
The “Impressive” equipment line adds 20-inch light-alloy wheels, acoustic glazing, Vernasca leather trim, BMW Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, and BMW IconicSounds Electric.
The model also offers a wide selection of driver assistance systems as standard, including Driving Assistant Professional with the Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, automatic Speed Limit Assist and route monitoring.
Also standard are features like Parking Assistant with Reversing Assist Camera, and Reversing Assistant. BMW Live Cockpit Professional with cloud-based navigation system BMW Maps and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant are also offered as standard.
As far as infotainment and mobile connectivity are concerned, the new iX3 comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Remote Software Upgrade, and other digital services from BMW Connected.
Both versions come with the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive 5-Year Extended Warranty and 6-Year Service Package, as well as the Power Package which comes with the BMW i Wallbox and BMW Standard Charging Cable. Owners of the First-Ever BMW iX3 will also receive an 8-Year, 160,000 km battery warranty.
With the Balloon Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the BMW iX3 M Sport Inspiring and the BMW iX3 M Sport Impressive can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 3,518.00 and RM 3,728.00 respectively (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure).
Both the Inspiring and Impressive iX3 variants will be equipped with the M Sport package as standard, offering an expressive exterior design language.
On the exterior, the iX3 comes with a large BMW kidney grille, slim headlights, and a newly sculpted front apron. At the rear, we have 3D LED rear lights as well as model-specific accents in BMW i Blue at the front and rear.
Inside, taking centre stage is a full digital screen grouping now with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and an enlarged control display matching its dimensions.
And then we have a newly designed control panel on the centre console for the gear selector lever, BMW Controller, Start/Stop button and the buttons for the Driving Experience Control switch, and parking brake.
Also offered as standard are the sport seats in the new Sensatec perforated upholstery variant and interior trim strips in the new Aluminium Rhombicle dark finish.
Meanwhile, powering the BMW iX3 is an electric motor with an 80-kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a range of up to 461 kilometres (WLTP).
The electric motor, transmission and power electronics collectively produce a maximum output of 286 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels, enabling the iX3 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
That being said, the BMW iX3 supports DC fast charging at rates of up to 150 kW for 80% charge in 32 minutes, while AC charging at up to 11 kW is supported via a Type 2 connection for 100% in approximately seven and a half hours.
