Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (Auto ConneXion), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, recently kicked off the highly-anticipated Ford Raptor Rev, Malaysia’s first-ever premier off-road event at Bay 13, Sepang Circuit.
The action-packed event, which was held over two days on 22 and 23 February 2025, was designed to give Ford Ranger Raptor owners and off-road enthusiasts an unforgettable experience.
Featuring insightful workshops, guided off-road training sessions, the event saw strong participation with 80 Ranger Raptor owners attending and attracted enthusiasts eager to witness the capabilities of the Raptor firsthand.

Ranger Raptor owners who registered for the exclusive event participated in a series of workshop and training sessions covering off-roading jumping and drifting, 4×4 obstacle trails and Baja lap training.
A Ford expert, Chris Dean, exclusively flew in from Australia for the event and conducted in-depth training on decoding the Ranger Raptor’s FOX suspension system. The workshop session aimed to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of how the Baja-inspired suspension is designed to excel in off-road environments, particularly in high-speed rugged conditions.
The Raptor Rev was not just for Raptor owners—it was a day of excitement for everyone. Members of the public enjoyed complimentary access to the event and participated in various activities, including:
- Hot Laps: Visitors experienced the Ranger Raptor’s Baja capabilities with professional drivers on the thrilling Baja course.
- Test Drives: Attendees got behind the wheel of the Ranger Raptor to experience its power and performance on designated on-road and off-road courses.
- Activities: The fun-filled event featured food trucks, live performances, and exclusive giveaways.
Attendees at the event were also able to catch four popular personalities—actor and motor enthusiast Ezzrin Loy, footballer and 4×4 enthusiast Intan Serah, ex-national bowler Syaidatul Afifah and professional drifter Hee Wei Seng—participating in a Hot Lap with their lucky fans in a Ranger Raptor. Fans also had the chance to meet and snap selfies with their favourite personalities.
Renowned tyre brand for the adventure seekers, BFGoodrich, the main partner of the Raptor Rev event, elevated the experience with expert technical support and engaging tyre-focused workshops. Attendees also explored BFGoodrich’s booth, which featured the newly launched KO3 tyres, designed for unmatched durability and off-road performance.
