Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia is proud to announce that the first Complete Knock-Down (CKD) unit of the GWM HAVAL H6 HEV has rolled off the assembly line at EP Manufacturing Berhad’s new CKD production plant in Melaka. With this new rollout, the GWM HAVAL H6 HEV will begin vehicle deliveries following its launch in October.
The GWM HAVAL H6 HEV is the fourth model launched by GWM Malaysia after ORA GOOD CAT, ORA 07 and GWM TANK 300. It is also the first locally assembled model, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s long termism strategy to expand its global presence and meet rising demand for environmentally friendly mobility solutions. In the future, GWM Malaysia will bring more and better choices to Malaysian consumers.
In the initial phase of the production at GWM’s new CKD production plant in partnership with EP Manufacturing Berhad in Melaka, GWM Malaysia targets a production capacity of 10,000 units annually. The second phase of preparation aims to expand the target to 300,000 units.
With the support of the engineering and technical personnel from GWM China and a high-quality system process, this operation runs on a set of strict regulations and standards. This emphasises GWM’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge hybrid technology, maximising local content, and supporting the local economy, continuing to leverage the advantages of localisation.
