In addition to the new RX 300 Luxury Special Edition, Lexus Malaysia has also introduced the Lexus ES 250 Limited Edition in line with the arrival of the new year, featuring a few cosmetic enhancements that make the car look and feel even more than elegant than it is.
The main highlight of the Lexus ES 250 Limited Edition is the addition of the bamboo wood trim in the doors, the dashboard, the centre console, as well as the steering wheel. While offering a unique texture and a fine finish to the vehicle’s luxurious interior, the bamboo trim also illustrates the role of a Takumi Craftsman who painstakingly sculpts and finishes each piece by hand.
It is said that the bamboo used in the car were actually hand-picked from sustainable forests in Kochi in southern Japan, allowing Lexus to offer a luxurious and beautiful accent to the Lexus ES 250 Limited Edition while being environmentally responsible.
Available in Sonic Quartz, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black Glass Flake, or Deep Blue Mica, the Lexus ES 250 Limited Edition can be paired with two interior colours options – Topaz or Black.
Priced at RM327,510 on the road without insurance, orders for the new ES 250 Limited Edition will be open from mid-January 2021 with sales beginning in February 2021, allowing buyers to take advantage of the current sales tax exemption offered by the government until June 2021.
Powering the Lexus ES 250 Limited Edition is a 2.5-litre Dynamic Force four-cylinder petrol engine that kicks out 204 hp and 247 Nm of torque, paired to an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic gearbox that sends all the power to the front wheels. Performance wise, the ES 250 is capable of sprinting from naught to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h.
Also worth mentioning here is the fact that the Lexus ES 250 Limited Edition comes with Lexus’ arsenal of safety features, particularly the Lexus Safety System + (LSS+). These include the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) and the Adaptive High-Beam System (AHS) as some of their key features.
The Lexus RX’s AHS further comes with the world’s first BladeScan™ where blade-shaped mirrors in the headlights spin at high speed to vary the throw of the light away from other road users while creating good illumination elsewhere.
According to Lexus Malaysia, owners of all new Lexus vehicles purchased from any of the six authorised Lexus Malaysia outlets throughout Malaysia will be provided with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty on their vehicles.
The Lexus RX and Lexus ES have suitably played a key role in the Lexus family by developing a strong interest in the Lexus brand. They have continuously delivered an overall package that not only impresses from its design, but the high level of quality finish, equipment and luxurious drive have made these the best-selling models in the Lexus stable,” said President of Lexus Malaysia Mr Ravindran K.
