Lexus Malaysia has started 2021 with a bang, and first on the list of new arrivals for the year is the Lexus RX 300 Luxury Special Edition, which is basically the RX 300 Luxury with a funky bodykit.
The Lexus RX 300 Luxury Special Edition SUV, which is the only form of the RX 300 Luxury at the moment, will join the RX 300 Premium and the RX 300 F Sport variants in the product portfolio. This means that there will not be an RX 300 Luxury without the bodykit.
While the bodykit includes a new front bumper spoiler, side skirts, as well as a rear bumper diffuser, the Lexus RX Luxury Special Edition will be available in four main colours, namely Sonic Quartz, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black Glass Flake, and Red Mica Crystal Shine.
Previously priced at RM424,888 on the road without insurance, the price of the Lexus RX300 Luxury Special Edition now stands at RM421,909.50 on the road without insurance.
Powering the Lexus RX300 Luxury Special Edition is the same powertrain package as before, which is a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 235 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Paired to the engine is a six-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel drive system that comes as standard.
Another highlight of the Lexus RX300 Luxury Special Edition is that it comes with the Lexus Safety System + (LSS+) suite of safety and driver assistance features such as the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and the Adaptive High-Beam System (AHS).
The Lexus RX’s AHS also comes with the world’s first BladeScan technology where blade-shaped mirrors in the headlights spin at high speed to vary the throw of the light away from other road users while creating good illumination elsewhere. How cool is that?
According to Lexus Malaysia, owners of all new Lexus vehicles purchased from any of the six authorised Lexus Malaysia outlets throughout Malaysia will be provided with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty on their vehicles.
“The Lexus RX and Lexus ES have suitably played a key role in the Lexus family by developing a strong interest in the Lexus brand. They have continuously delivered an overall package that not only impresses from its design, but the high level of quality finish, equipment and luxurious drive have made these the best-selling models in the Lexus stable,” said President of Lexus Malaysia Mr Ravindran K.
“The Lexus RX and the Lexus ES have proven to be capable, sophisticated and impressive performers in their segments and they continuously exceed expectations by delivering a level of distinctiveness that cannot simply be ignored,” added Deputy Chairman of Lexus Malaysia Mr Akio Takeyama.
