The Malaysia International Bus, Truck and Components Expo (MIBTC 2015) is all set to take place this year from 14 to 16 May 2015 at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC), with a strong line-up of exhibitors and exciting fringe programs. The second instalment of MIBTC is supported by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) and 15 other local and global organizations, including top brands from the commercial vehicle industry as exhibitors.
“The fringe program that we have lined up in this year’s MIBTC is one of the most varied for a commercial vehicle expo of this scale. Visitors can expect to be thoroughly engaged with a diverse range of activities catering to commercial vehicle manufacturers, fleet owners and commercial vehicle drivers alike”, said Stefan Pertz, editor of the Asian Trucker magazine and organizer of the MIBTC 2015.
One of the key highlights of the expo is the Scania Driver Competition – MIBTC Edition that will take place throughout the three days of the expo. The competition which is one of the Asian Trucker Driver club activities happening at the MIBTC, is run by Scania Malaysia and supported by GiiB, Shell Malaysia and ZF. Open to the general public with valid driving licenses, drivers at this competition can test their driving skills in a truck obstacle course to win attractive prizes.
Another highlight of the MIBTC 2015 is the Asian Trucker Networking Night which will be held on the second night of the expo. Happening for the fifth time, this networking night is supported by Kit Loong Commercial Tyres, MAN Truck and Bus and ZF. It is Asian Trucker’s signature networking activity and key players in the commercial vehicle industry look forward to it at the MIBTC.
The networking event is expected to gather 800 local and global market leaders and players to meet, mingle and exchange insights and ideas on new developments in the market. With the MIBTC 2015’s theme of ‘Drive Safe’, the networking area will also be themed accordingly, and attendees will be feted with live entertainment throughout the night.
This year’s MIBTC also welcomes over 70 exhibitors to its show, with both local and multinational brands in the commercial vehicle market taking up a total of 8,000 sqm of the exhibition space. Several major brands have announced that they will launching new products in the show and throughout the expo, exhibitors will get to take to the stage as well for an hour to share their latest innovations and products.
Other interesting programs lined up include the Best Booth Design contest whereby two exhibitors with the best designed booth for both bare space and shell scheme, as voted by the expo’s visitors will win a total cash prize of RM20,000 and a business matchmaking service to enable trade visitors to make appointments to see their vendors through the Business Matchmaking Module. To make it more convenient for trade visitors, the Sendok Group will be providing shuttle buses as a transport option for those coming from Kapar and Kuala Lumpur’s city center.
