MINI recently introduced the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition, featuring a unique design by local artist Jared Lim – or more commonly known as ‘Professional Crayon’, who has skillfully captured the extraordinary beauty of Malaysia in his artwork. The special model is priced at RM264,888.
With the ‘Foliage’ design, this exclusive edition blends the essence of adventure with the elements of local culture, resulting in a unique version of the MINI Countryman.
The Foliage artwork on the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition showcases the rich tapestry of Malaysian flowers while highlighting many classic elements of the MINI brand. Within the intricate composition, are wings of the MINI logo gracefully emerging through waves and weaves of the Malaysian flora.
At the centre, a bejeweled gem-shaped heart encapsulates the Union Jack tail lights, a speedometer, and a compass, symbolising the adventurer’s relentless pursuit of new experiences. Amongst the foliage, a hibiscus blossoms, representing the encounters and adventures that await on one’s journey.
The MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition retains everything that is loved of the MINI Countryman, such as the MINI ALL4 Exterior Optic, including decorative elements on both the front and rear bumpers, along with a sump guard in aluminium matt and an automatic LED headlight with cornering functionality.
It also retains its distinctive bonnet stripes, roof rails, and side sills. Adding to its allure is the Piano Black Exterior Optic, providing a sleek high-gloss black finish around the headlight and rear light surrounds, radiator grille and side scuttles. Owners will benefit from the convenience of Comfort Access with Easy Opener and the automatic tailgate operation.
Sitting at the heart of the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition is a 2-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine, that produces 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque, capable of a century sprint in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 226 km/h.
Paired with a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Sports Automatic Transmission, the vehicle can achieve extremely fast gear change in SPORTS driving mode with a high degree of shift comfort and optimised efficiency. Additionally, coasting function is available in GREEN & MID driving modes for the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition.
Standard equipment includes the Driving Assistant system which provides digital high-beam assistance, speed limit information, pedestrian warning with light city braking function, and approach control warning with light city braking function.
Inside, the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition retains the MINI Yours Illuminated cockpit in Shaded Silver. It also maintains the Dark Silver door bezels and Hazy Grey elements, complemented by the Satellite Grey Headliner and Leather Cross Punch in Carbon Black. The steering wheel features the iconic MINI Yours Walknappa Leather and is adorned with a distinctive Union Jack insignia at its base.
The MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition also features the 5″ digital instrument cluster positioned behind the steering wheel. That being said, the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition will be available in three colours- British Racing Green, Chilli Red and Island Blue – all in limited quantities.
