Didi Group, official distributor of the Vespa brand in Malaysia recently introduced the new Vespa GTS 300.
Available in no fewer than twelve different colour schemes, the new Vespa GTS will be offered in two versions – the GTS SuperSport, and the GTS SuperTech. Both are powered by the 300 hpe (High Performance Engine), producing 23.8 hp and 26 Nm of torque.
Out of the two variants, the sportier one is the Vespa GTS SuperSport which features graphite coloured rims with dedicated graphics and black details, starting with the profile that runs along the perimeter of the body.
The steering cover on the shield presents a brand-new carbon look finish and is made more aggressive with neon orange decorations, while the black saddle stands out for its horizontal heat sealing and double stitching in contrasting neon orange.
Next, we have the more technologically advanced Vespa GTS SuperTech which features satin chrome grey finishes, complemented by graphite coloured wheel rims with diamond finish.
Other original contrasting elements include the steering cover decorations and the front shock spring painted in neon green. Even the saddle flaunts a “hi-tech” finish, with double upholstery and two-colour seams with neon green sections.
The body of the new GTS family is made strictly of steel: a sustainable material because it is 100% recyclable which guarantees unrivalled strength as well as truly unique safety and dynamism.
This body, which is a Vespa worldwide exclusive, is now paired with an entirely new front suspension. Maintaining the traditional, single-arm layout, the system has been redesignedin terms of functionality to guarantee greater stability, especially at high speeds, and to improve comfort and handling, thanks to the new suspension calibration.
The Vespa GTS also comes with keyless system to activate the ignition without having to insert the traditional key, streamlining the operations of starting the engine, opening the seat, and locking the steering column, all of which can be done with the remote control conveniently in your pocket.
While the SuperTech version comes with an ultra-modern TFT colour display, new instrumentation makes its début on both versions. Meanwhile, the Vespa MIA connectivity system comes as standard on both the SuperTech and the SuperSport.
That being said, the Vespa GTS 300 SuperSport and GTS 300 SuperTech are priced from RM32,900 and RM36,900 respectively.
Vespa Primavera Colour Vibe Special Series
In addition to the Vespa 300 GTS range, Didi Resources also unveiled the new Vespa Primavera Color Vibe special series, where the Primavera rocks a special two-tone livery.
Owners can choose between Orange Tramonto or Blue Audace body colours, which are matched with side graphics and a footboard in Blue and Orange.
An original contrasting colour “stain” outlined in black also runs diagonally across the entire body through the dedicated graphics on the sides of the front shield and side panels.
Meanwhile, the decorations of the steering cover on the front shield come with matching graphics. The wheels are also made exclusively for this version in a special glossy metallic finish.
Last but not least, the headlamp and taillight frames, the profile that runs along the front shield, the crest on the front mudguard, the front suspension spring and guard, the passenger grab handle, and the silencer cover are all blacked out. The saddle, on the other hand, is also black with anthracite stitching.
That being said, the Vespa Primavera Color Vibe is available in 150 cc versions of the Vespa with a price tag that starts from RM22,300.
