GWM Malaysia announced today that the GWM ORA 07’s Performance variant will be launched here this month. This variant will be joining the Ora 07 Long Range which was previewed back in April.
Both variants of the Ora 07 are powered by an 83.5-kWh battery, with the Long Range variant providing up to 640 km following the NEDC standard. While the Ora 07 Long Range comes with a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 PS and 340 Nm of torque with a top speed of 170 km/h, the Performance variant makes almost twice as much power.
Thanks to an all-wheel drive setup, the Performance version churns out 408 PS and 680 Nm, and hits a top speed of 180 km/h. In terms of acceleration, it is able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h time of 4.3 seconds. However, the driving range is rated at 550 km as the performance comes at a cost.
As far as the charging process is concerned, the 07 supports AC charging at up to 11 kW while peak DC fast charging is rated at 88 kW. There’s also support for vehicle-to-load (V2L) at up to 3.3 kW to power accessories.
Competing with models like the BYD Seal and the Tesla Model 3, the Ora 07 is built on GWM’s Lemon platform and boasts an aerodynamic fastback shape with a drag coefficient of just 0.22. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4,871mm in length, 1,862mm in width, and 1,500mm in height, with a wheelbase length of 2,870mm.
Meanwhile, the list of standard features include 19-inch wheels, LED lights, and frameless windows on the exterior, while the interior will feature a large 12.3-inch central display, a 10-inch digital instrument panel, leather seats, as well as a minimalism design.
More details will be announced when the model is launched later this month, so watch this space.
