PRO-NET, the EV division of national carmaker Proton, recently announced that the Proton e.MAS 7 has reached a cumulative delivery milestone of 1,853 units in Q1 2025.
With 797 units sold in March alone, the model now holds a projected Year-To-Date (YTD) market share of 30%, solidifying its position as Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle.
Expressing gratitude for the success, PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang said, “We deeply appreciate the continued support and trust from our customers in the Proton e.MAS 7, as well as in our commitment to building an ecosystem that enhances their electric driving journey. Our dealers and partners also deserve recognition for helping us meet customer needs. This milestone motivates us to strive for even better quality and elevate the ownership experience.”

The Proton e.MAS 7 offers a blend of premium features and affordability, making electric mobility more accessible to the Malaysian public. Starting at RM105,800 for the Prime variant and RM119,800 for the Premium model, the vehicle is designed with practicality and comfort in mind.
It features 33 cleverly designed storage compartments and a spacious interior thanks to its extended wheelbase—qualities that resonate with buyers looking for both function and comfort.
A recent PRO-NET customer survey revealed that the top three reasons for purchasing the e.MAS 7 were its value for money, roomy cabin and cargo space, and forward-thinking features.
Safety and Innovation in One Package
In addition to comfort and technology, the Proton e.MAS 7 puts safety front and center. It comes equipped with the AEGIS Short Blade Battery, which has passed the industry’s pioneering ‘Six Extremes’ serial test. This test proves the battery’s resilience under extreme heat, saltwater, frequent underbody impacts, weight pressure, and side collisions.
The battery also offers a reliable WLTP range, verified through a real-world live range test using the Proton e.MAS 7 Prime.
To support the shift from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric mobility, PRO-NET has established partnerships with major charging network providers.
Now, e.MAS 7 owners have access to over 2,300 public charging stations—covering more than 90% of Malaysia’s public EV charging infrastructure—thanks to providers such as Gentari, JomCharge, chargEV, DC Handal, Chargesini, Carput Zap, RExharge, and Charge+.
Additionally, 75 DC fast chargers (up to 120kW) are available at select PROTON, Proton e.MAS, and smart showrooms nationwide, offering even more convenience for drivers.

The dedicated Proton e.MAS App integrates all participating charging networks into one streamlined platform, providing real-time access to a live charging map. The app also enables users to make payments directly, and with continuous updates, it ensures coverage keeps expanding. Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the app has supported 1,145 charging sessions within a recent three-month span.
“We are not just offering a car—we’re building a complete EV ecosystem,” Zhang added. “Our vision includes a network of 36 dealerships equipped with DC chargers and after-sales support, along with nationwide charging infrastructure. Collaborating closely with Charge Point Operators, we aim to simplify EV ownership and offer a seamless experience for all.”
The Proton e.MAS 7 is also making its mark internationally, with its initial launch in Nepal and an upcoming debut in Trinidad and Tobago. The model is currently part of an extensive road tour across the ASEAN region, beginning and concluding in Malaysia—further emphasizing its growing global presence.
