Sime Darby Motor City, the largest automotive complex in Southeast Asia is ringing in joy and good cheer this holiday season by transforming into Sime Darby Motors Christmas City.
Sime Darby Motors Christmas City lights will unite its stable of world-class vehicle brands, namely BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, MINI, Motorrad, Porsche and Volvo, as well as Sime Darby Motors’ pre-owned car retailer Sime Darby Auto Selection.
Besides the grand sweeping canopy of lights that stretches through the entranceway of the facility, the centrepiece attraction welcoming visitors is a towering 51-foot Christmas tree strewn with dazzling red and white lights.
Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director, Retail and Distribution, Malaysia of Sime Darby Motors, said, “As the only facility of this kind in Malaysia and the largest in Southeast Asia, we are truly excited to present Sime Darby Motors Christmas City in our first year here, bringing Malaysians a memorable experience.”
“Reflecting our aspiration to be more than an exemplary automotive centre, we have created a festive atmosphere in this unique setting to delight our visitors, bringing holiday cheer to all, in addition to activities to give back to the community through charity donations.”
The highlight of the month will be the two-day Sime Darby Motors City Street event that is open exclusively to Sime Darby Motors customers slated for December 17 and 18.
Live music, Christmas carols, food trucks, as well as various activities and games including an EPL screening will bring Sime Darby Motors Christmas City to life as the countdown to Christmas begins. This street event is yet another way of Sime Darby Motors’ way of representing customer service at its best.
Visitors will be among the first to experience the new Volvo XC60, which will be on showcase on 4 and 5 December and the New Ford Ranger WildTrak Sport Special Edition which will be launched to the public on 8 December, followed by the launch of the new Hyundai Palisade on 16 December.
Porsche will showcase the recently launched seventh generation 911 GT3 at Porsche Centre Ara Damansara from 17 December.
Festive offers are also available at the respective Sime Darby Motors vehicle brands, including attractive cash rebates, low interest rate and financing offers, and additional service offers for new vehicle purchase.
In the spirit of giving, Sime Darby Motors is taking this opportunity to organise a Christmas charity. The collection of charity donations is unique, providing visitors the opportunity to interact with five digital snowmen.
Each snowman will feature QR codes representing five NGOs, namely Faith Hope Love Hospice Care Malaysia, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA Selangor), Befrienders KL, Make-A-Wish Malaysia and Cahaya Society. Those wanting to donate would just need to scan the QR codes and donate from their e-wallets.
Starting from 6 December, there will also be a charity drive where customers can visit any showroom at Sime Darby Motors City to donate in-kind contributions such as groceries, toys, books and clothing, which will be distributed to orphanages on 22 December.
All activities will be held in line with the SOPs set by the relevant authorities. Hand sanitiser dispensers will also be available at various locations within the complex. Individual vaccination certificates will be checked upon entry, for the safety of all visitors.
