Offered in three variants, the Tesla Model Y is priced between RM199,000 and RM288,000
Tesla has announced that its latest all-electric SUV, the Tesla Model Y, is now available to order in Malaysia on its official website.
Available in three trims, the base Model Y (Rear-wheel drive) is priced at RM199,000, while the Model Y Long Range asks for RM246,000. Last but not least, the Model Y Performance is priced at RM288,000. The estimated delivery date will be in early 2024.
As a mid-size SUV, the Model Y offers over 2,100 litres of cargo space, providing versatile seating and storage for up to five passengers with their belongings. With ultra-responsive motors, it only takes 3.7 seconds for the Model Y to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h, with a range of up to 533 km (WLTP) per charge. The Model Y also comes with an all-glass roof, autopilot, active safety features, and a HEPA air filtration system.

As part of Malaysia’s commitment to promoting the adoption of low-carbon mobility and supporting the development of the electric vehicle (EV) industry, customers can enjoy full import and excise duties exemption for newly registered zero-emission Tesla electric vehicles (Completely Built-up electric vehicles) along with 100% road tax exemption.
Tesla owners may also claim individual income tax relief of up to RM2,500 on expenses related to the cost of installation, rental, purchase, including hire-purchase equipment or subscription fees for EV charging facilities, for the assessment year of 2023.
Having earned 5-star ratings from NHTSA and Euro NCAP, the Tesla Model Y also comes with a Bioweapon Defence mode.
