Bentley Kuala Lumpur bids farewell to the iconic W12 petrol powertrain with the delivery of its final Bentayga Speed in Malaysia.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre W12 engine, the Speed offers breath-taking top speeds without compromise to luxury and comfort, all with the full complement of customizations and styling exclusive to the Speed to match. The Bentayga Speed W12 is the ultimate high-performance, super luxury SUV.
Its arrival marks the last Bentayga model to include the W12 engine in the country following Bentley Motor’s global announcement to achieve full electrification of all models by the start of the next decade.
Despite the marque’s shift in focus to becoming a leader in sustainable luxury mobility, the dedication and engineering evident in the mighty W12 engine demonstrates their commitment to excellence in every facet of their craft and their venerable legacy.
Refined by 20 years of iterative improvement, the 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 was completely redesigned from the sump up in 2015, featuring cylinder deactivation, direct and port injection, and twin-scroll turbos.
Each engine is hand-built over 6.5 hours by a team of craftspeople before undertaking a highly sophisticated test regime via three specialist diagnostic machines.
That being said, order-taking for the Bentayga Speed featuring the W12 powertrain ceased at the end of July 2023.
