Volkswagen has announced that it will be revealing the facelifted Arteon later this month, while we are still awaiting the arrival of the current-gen model in Malaysia.
The main highlight of the new Arteon is the addition of a “Shooting Brake” version to the lineup.
Details are still very limited, but all we know for now is that the Arteon will be given a completely new cockpit environment, with the latest modular infotainment matrix (MIB3) systems to ensure the best possible connectivity.
From a technological perspective, Volkswagen says that the drive range has been re-aligned too, with “future-oriented” engine technologies.
Improved assistance systems such as the “Travel Assist” highly assisted driving feature may also be introduced, says Volkswagen. Designed particularly with long-distance journeys in mind, this system is capable of taking over steering, acceleration, and braking up to speeds of 210 km/h – under the control of the driver.
That being said, the world première and more detailed information about the Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake will follow on the 24th of June.
